Fairy is a community for people in the middle of a transition. A place to reconnect with yourself, find your footing again, and discover what might be waiting on the other side.
For the ones carrying more than most people can see. The ones rebuilding after a move, a layoff, a burnout, a major life change, or simply the feeling that something important has gone quiet.
We live inside an extractive economy: systems built to take more from people than they give back, that keep asking us to perform, produce, stay visible, and keep going no matter the cost.
Identity gets folded into output. Worth gets tied to performance. Gifts get buried underneath being tired. It is normalized until it looks like ordinary life, and it falls hardest on the people already carrying the most.
Modern life is good at pulling things apart.
Fairy is building toward putting them back together.
Fairy was made for people who feel that quietly, and have not had a place to bring it.
Room for the people quietly building real things to be supported.
Room for the ones in between chapters to land softly.
Room for steady work and real creativity to live in the same life.
Room for local talent to be found by the people already looking for it.
Fairy is being built slowly, on purpose, to make some of that room.
You are welcome inside what we are building.
People are sacred. Numbers are not. Every choice we make is measured against the human on the other side.
Building something real should not require quietly destroying yourself to do it.
People grow when other people are nearby. We are building community, not just a platform.
Not just content. Expression, contribution, repair, storytelling, legacy. We treat it accordingly.
You should be found without having to become a louder version of yourself. Your character is the credential.
Not the other way around. Every tool we build is in service of the person using it.
Too many people are carrying gifts, ideas, and contributions that never receive the support they need to grow.
Fairy exists to create places where people can pause, reconnect with what matters, and take the next step with others beside them.
Through community, reflection, mentorship, entrepreneurship, and local exchange, we help people move from uncertainty toward meaningful contribution without losing themselves in the process.
It happened in small trades. A little less honesty here. A little more performance there. Until the version of yourself that shows up every day started to feel like a managed one.
Fairy is for the people quietly ready to stop managing and start coming back.
Does any of this sound familiar?
You became the reliable one. The person everyone leans on. After carrying pressure quietly for so long, exhaustion started to feel normal. You need room to breathe, reflect, and figure out what support could actually look like for you.
You learned how to adapt, stay agreeable, and become whatever version of yourself felt safest. Somewhere in that process, your real voice got quieter. You are looking for spaces where you no longer have to manage yourself to belong.
A move. A layoff. Graduation. A breakup. A new chapter. Your life changed, but your sense of connection has not caught up yet. You are looking for community, familiarity, and somewhere that feels grounding again.
You are building something for the first time. A nonprofit. A business. A creative project. You know you want to move forward, but you need guidance from people who understand the terrain and can help you navigate it with more clarity.
There is something you have wanted to pursue for years. Writing. Dancing. Designing. Cooking. Creating. Maybe the stable path no longer fits. Maybe the creative part of you has been waiting quietly in the background. You are ready to take it seriously now.
You already have real skills that serve people around you. But traditional platforms rarely make room for people building quietly at the local level. You are looking for sustainable ways to grow without losing the human side of what you do.
If any of this sounds like you, you are in the right place.
Not sure which one is you? Take our assessment to understand where you are.

People do not come back to themselves through inspiration alone. They come back through real structures. Relationships. Opportunities. A path that meets them where they actually are.
Most people do not move from uncertainty to clarity all at once.
They need space to pause. People to walk beside them. Opportunities to test what they are learning. And ways to contribute when they are ready.
Fairy is being built to support that process.
Each layer supports the next. Over time, the people building inside Fairy help shape where it grows.
The kind of small gathering you can actually breathe in. Tables in person, rooms on Zoom, retreats when more time is needed. A few people. No one performing.
Learn moreWorking sessions, not lectures. You look back at your own story, name what you love and what you are good at, and find where your gifts meet a real problem in the world. You leave with an idea worth building.
Learn moreFairy's launch cohort. For people with a clear idea who are ready to build it into something real, we move from idea to launch with structure, guidance, accountability, and support to share your work and list it on the marketplace.
Learn moreA community marketplace where people can share their work, serve others, and participate in a local economy rooted in relationships. Long term, we hope to shape it into something increasingly community-rooted and cooperative alongside the people building within it. We are still learning what that future could look like, and we want to build it thoughtfully.

Fairy is currently growing through a small founding community as we learn alongside the people we hope to serve. Some parts of the ecosystem are active today. Others are being shaped through listening, testing, and real relationships.
There is a kind of work that only happens in a small enough room, where the conversation slows down and what you have been carrying gets named out loud. Fairy holds these as tables in person, rooms on Zoom, and retreats when more time is needed. A few people, an honest hour, no one trying to fix you.
The Founding Sisterhood is one of the first. Future tables and rooms are being shaped around the situations people actually find themselves in: a layoff, a move to a city where no one knows you yet, a midlife return, the quiet decision to stop performing. Whatever starts to surface here, you can take it into the workshops and consulting that come next.
We will reach out personally as new circles and retreats open.
These are working sessions, not lectures. Through workshops and consulting, you look back at your own story and pull out the patterns that point to what you should build.
We start with you: what you love, what you are good at, and the problems you would not mind spending years on. Then we look at the real needs in the world and find where those overlap. That overlap is usually where your best idea is hiding.
You leave with a clearer direction, a real idea to work on, and something concrete to build on each month.
Book a free consultation“I came in with a hunch. I left with an idea I could actually build.”
This layer runs as topic workshops, group consultations, and a limited number of free one-on-one sessions. It always starts with a free conversation, no commitment. When you are ready to launch, the next step is the Incubator →
What you will work through
The Incubator is Fairy's step by step launch program. It is for people who have a clear idea and are ready to turn it into a real, working business, whether they came up through our workshops and consulting or arrived already sure of what they are building.
This is a guided program, not general advice. We walk the whole path with you, from idea to launch: shaping the offer, putting the practical pieces in place, building a steady rhythm, and getting everything ready so that by the end you have actually launched and can list your work on the Fairy marketplace.
It runs as an intentionally small cohort, alongside the Founding Sisterhood timeline, so every person gets real attention at each step as they move toward launch.

Inside the Incubator
A small, real place where gifts circulate between neighbors. Skills, services, creativity, and care moving between people who can actually see each other.
This is where the rest of the ecosystem becomes practical. Where contribution turns into a livelihood, and the community starts holding itself up.

Fairy is being built to become a cooperative: a marketplace and community that the people who use it come to own over time, not by buying in, but through taking part. The structure is still being shaped, and the direction is settled.
Members come to own a real share over time through taking part, not by paying for it up front.
Governance is democratic. A say in the direction is not weighted by how much money you have.
A shared fund for emergency aid, no-interest business loans, and grants, so the community can catch its own.
In time, a shared retreat home, the Horeb House, for rest, creativity, and gathering in person.
If you have experience in cooperative work, we would love to talk with you.
We are gathering a founding team, and growing it together.
Fairy is being built by the people who believe in it, and there are real founding roles open right now. This is a founding team, so there is no salary up front. We agree on a growth plan together, so that as Fairy grows, pay grows with it, and the people who built it share in what they built.

Fairy is a cooperative ecosystem for people moving through transitions. It includes community Tables, Rooms and Retreats, Workshops and Consulting, the Incubator, cooperative membership, and a marketplace connecting service providers with clients. These Terms apply to your use of all parts of Fairy, online and in person.
Fairy is a community marketplace connecting local service providers ("Providers") with people looking for trusted services ("Clients"). Fairy provides the platform and infrastructure. Services are provided by independent Providers, not by Fairy. Fairy is not an employer of any Provider and does not guarantee the quality, safety, or timeliness of any service listed on the platform.
To use Fairy you must be at least 18 years of age, a legal resident of a country where Fairy operates, and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. By registering, you confirm you meet these requirements.
You must create an account to access Fairy's services. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at ruth@tryfairy.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Each person may maintain only one active account. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
All Providers must complete identity verification before their profile goes live. Providers are independent contractors, not employees of Fairy. Providers are responsible for accurate listings, delivering services professionally, honoring confirmed bookings, complying with applicable laws for their service type, and treating all Clients with dignity and respect.
When you book a service, you agree to pay the full listed price. Cancellation policies are set by individual Providers and displayed on their profiles. Buyers agree to treat Providers with dignity and respect, provide accurate information when requesting services, and not attempt to take transactions off-platform.
All payments are processed through Stripe. By using Fairy, you agree to Stripe's terms at stripe.com/legal. Sellers pay a commission on sales made through the Marketplace, and buyers may pay a modest service fee, with the exact rates disclosed in the app and subject to change with notice. Platform fee structures are displayed within the app and may change with 30 days advance notice. Providers are solely responsible for reporting and paying applicable taxes on income earned through the platform. Billing disputes must be submitted to ruth@tryfairy.com within 30 days of the transaction.
Fairy membership is a recurring monthly subscription billed through Stripe at the tier you select (Community, Builder, Fund Member, or Launch). Your membership renews automatically each month until you cancel. You may cancel at any time, and your membership stays active through the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Membership is participation in a cooperative, not the purchase of a product, and dues are generally non-refundable except where required by law. Fairy operates on a one member, one vote basis, regardless of tier or amount contributed. Membership is capacity-limited: in Year One, Community is capped at up to 200 members, Builder at up to 50, Fund Member at up to 100, and Launch at up to 50, for a target of approximately 400 members in total, and Fairy may pause, waitlist, or close new memberships once capacity is reached.
Membership is not the same as co-ownership. Co-ownership of the Fairy marketplace cooperative is earned over time through patronage, meaning your participation and activity, rather than through any additional payment. Surplus, where it exists, is shared in proportion to patronage. Ownership is never purchased, it is earned by taking part.
A portion of Fund Member and Launch dues is directed to the Fairy Fund, a separately held fund used to support members and the shared work of the cooperative through emergency aid, zero-interest loans, and grants. Fund access becomes available after ninety days of active Fund Member or Launch membership, and is distributed according to need with a member voice in Fund matters. Community and Builder dues are directed entirely to operations and the community layer those members take part in. Certain programs, including the formation classes and workshops, have limited capacity and may be reserved for specific tiers. Membership benefits, tiers, and dues may change with at least 30 days notice.
All users must follow Fairy's Community Guidelines. The following are strictly prohibited:
Fairy reserves the right to remove any content or account that violates these standards, at our sole discretion, without prior notice.
You retain ownership of content you post on Fairy. By posting, you grant Fairy a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and promote that content in connection with operating and marketing the platform. The Fairy name, logo, app design, and website are owned by Fairy and may not be used without written permission.
Fairy provides its platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. Fairy is not a party to agreements between Buyers and Providers and is not responsible for harm arising from those transactions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fairy's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Fairy in the preceding 12 months or $100. Fairy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
You agree to indemnify and hold Fairy harmless from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, your content, your interactions with other users, or your violation of these Terms.
Your use of Fairy is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference and available at tryfairy.com.
Before filing any formal claim, contact us at ruth@tryfairy.com to attempt informal resolution. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Colorado. To the extent permitted by law, you waive your right to participate in any class action lawsuit against Fairy.
We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of Fairy after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
